Many people think that meditation is only sitting in lotus position even thought - it is much more than that. Meditation is excellent way to stop. Being present. Focus on your own breath, focus on your body, what is happening around you, what you hear, what you see, what you smell... You can meditate every day, every where. And you can always do it different kind of ways. Of course you can sit in lotus position, it is also very good. And the point of that position is that you might get deeply relaxed but you cannot fall asleep. Meditation has proven to different kind of health benefits (for example lower stress hormones).
